Songs Released This Year, That I’ve Worked On

There’s been a LOT going on. I’m pretty sure I say this each time I send one of these out, and it’s true each time. But this time, it’s different. Maybe it’s not. But it is…

This year has been an active one on the music front. We (GRYSKLL) started the year off with a plan to release a song a month for six months. We made it happen and decided to keep it going, but we missed July, as we released more than one song in June and got our wires a little crossed. We picked it back up last month with the release of The Beauty (now streaming) and have music at the ready to continue releasing. There’s a bit of story to how The Beauty came to be made. Hopefully someday, the story will be told in full. It was a wild ride.

At the same time that we decided to do a song a month, Dragon’s Pitchfork was working with his old group Tha Beggas/The Beggaz (Wu-Tang Killa Beez), to match the effort for a few of those months. The result was a lot of dope music, that I had to opportunity to take part in.

We’ve also been getting settled in pretty nicely at the new studio space. It’s still a mess and a work in progress — and some pretty extreme changes may be coming… trying not to think about that right now, but it’s sounding good — which is what’s most important for me and some dope music has been coming out if it.
